Malnutrition continues to be a leading cause of illness and death in children under five, particularly in developing nations. Policy leaders and public health professionals in Uganda are very concerned about the high prevalence of wasting and stunting among children under the age of five. The 2030 development agenda of the United Nations places an emphasis on theprevention and treatment of malnutrition. This study looked at Uganda's general population's 6-59-month-old children's risk factors for wasting and stunting. The study's findings indicate that improving maternal nutritional status and formal education may be beneficial focal points for interventions to decrease under-five stunting and wasting in Uganda.
